Financial Needs
The Tillman House Resource Center desires to help individuals who are in an emergency financial situation for basic needs such as rent or utility assistance due to job loss, illness or other unforeseen circumstances. Through our partnerships, we can offer guidance to various resources.

Times are tough and the Tillman House is here to help! At the Tillman House we offer Cobb families several resources. Stop by to find out how you can register for the Food Box program or learn more about our free Diapers, Wipes, and basic Hygiene Necessities Programs. It’s SO EASY and designed to help families just like you!
Tillman FoodBox
The Tillman House, in partnership with Action Ministries, offers a box filled with non-perishable food items to every resident of Cobb County in need. Stop by the Tillman House Resource Center on Saturday 9am-12pm and present some form of I.D.
Volunteers will be onsite and happy to help you!
Counseling & Support Groups
The Tillman House offers a safe place for several support and counseling groups to meet. If you or someone you know is looking to join a support group for AA, NA, Al-Anon or are you in need of a Caregivers Support Group, please join us at one of the meetings listed on the Counseling & Support Groups page.
CLIFF JORDAN ADULT EDUCATION
The Cliff Jordan Adult Education Center provides free classes and programs designed to stimulate learning and instill independence.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS
These three-day a week after school sessions will take place at the Tillman House Resource Center every Tuesday through Thursday from 2:30pm to 5:00pm beginning

Requirements: Easy online Safe Sanctuary background check
Training: August 16 at 3:00 p.m (more details coming soon)
Sample schedule: Tillman House Smart Kids After School Program
- 2:25pm: Students picked up from Green Acres Elementary and transported to Tillman House
- 2:25-2:30pm: Snack time in fellowship hall
- 2:30-2:45pm: Recess time outside
- 2:45-3:00pm: Bathroom Break & Hand Washing
Move to 2nd Floor
- 3:00 -3:30pm: Working on homework Table Time - individual pullouts table work
- 3:35-3:40pm: Bathroom Breaks
- 3:45-4:10pm: Literacy Language games; sight word checklist, Math Flash Cards
- 4:10-4:15pm: Stretching break “Go Noodle”
- 4:15-4:30pm: Read book and questions (setting, characters, problem/solution, fiction/non-fiction, relate to own life)
- 4:30-4:50pm: Math Learning Games-individual pullouts
- 4:50-5:00pm: Student’s pick last game/Recreation Time
- 5:00pm: Student Pick-Up
SERVING AT THE TABLE AT TILLMAN
The Table at Tillman meets every third Saturday of the month at 5 pm and we welcome anyone looking for an unconventional way to draw closer to God. This is a very casual gathering outdoors (weather permitting) or in the fellowship hall.
There is a message of HOPE followed by a delicious meal and fellowship. If you would like to volunteer to serve at the Table at Tillman, please call the Tillman House during office hours.
